West Brom player ratings vs Swansea: 7.5 rated star earns Player of the Match in latest Championship win

West Brom keep their unbeaten Championship streak alive with a hard-fought win over Swansea City.

West Brom have pushed their way into the Championship top two after their latest outing against Swansea City kept their unbeaten streak ticking over with a close win. Albion secured a 1-0 victory at The Hawthorns thanks to a special moment from Jayson Molumby, who scored his first goal in 16 months during the first half stoppage time.

After a busy summer window, Albion have brought in a total of 11 new signings, including Deadline Day duo Mikey Johnston and Mason Holgate. Carlos Corberan and his side will be pushing hard at the top of the table once again this summer as they re-set their sights on promotion to the Premier League.

Albion reached the play-offs last campaign but were denied a chance to go any further when eventual winners Southampton beat them 3-1 on aggregate in the semi-finals. Corberan’s side are currently sitting strong on 10 points, just two behind table-toppers Sunderland, who enjoyed a 3-1 win against Championship new boys Portsmouth.

Both West Brom and Swansea claimed penalty appeals at The Hawthorns on Saturday but in the end, it was only Molumby’s goal to separate the two. Take a look below at how each of Albion’s players fared in their latest clash, according to player ratings provided by WhoScored. Molumby’s efforts earned him the Player of the Match ranking.
