West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Bruce has been nominated for the Championship’s manager of the month award for the month of March.

After a tough start to his life at the Hawthorns, Bruce was able to turn a corner in March, completing the month unbeaten and taking eight points out of a possible 12.

The highlight of the month was the 1-0 victory over runaway leaders Fulham, a game that many had written off as a defeat before a ball was even kicked.

That win as well as the results as a whole across March have given Albion the slimmest of chances of still grabbing a play-off place this season - something that you could argue is worthy of winning the award in itself.

If Bruce is to win it however, he will need to see off some extremely strong competition.

Nottingham Forest’s Steve Cooper, Blackpool’s Neil Critchley and Cardiff City’s Steve Morrison are all up the honour with the winner set to be announced on Friday April 8th.
