West Brom right-back Ethan Ingram is on Wolves and QPR’s transfer radar, according to a report by Football Insider. The 19-year-old academy graduate is in the final 18 months of his deal and his long-term future at the Hawthorns is currently uncertain amid links elsewhere.

Ex-Baggies boss Valerien Ismael is believed to be on Cardiff City’s list of potential managerial candidates, as per BBC Sport. The Bluebirds are in the hunt for a new manager after deciding to part company with Mark Hudson.

John Eustace wants to keep Huddersfield Town and Stoke City-linked goalkeeper Neil Etheridge at Birmingham. He has told Birmingham Live: “Neil has done well, he did well last week for us, he is an important part of the squad.

“He is a very respected player in the squad, he is a leader and he can also help through this difficult period. I don’t want any of the players to leave at the moment.

“I want everyone to stay and keep fighting. You have seen the squad is a very small squad, a very young squad in important areas, so the good senior boys around have to look after the rest of the group and I don’t want Neil to go anywhere.”

Number one stopper John Ruddy believes the Blues need to go back to basics following their recent poor run of form. He has told the club website: “I think if we go back to basics, and outwork, outfight teams, play in their half, in their territory, then we we will put teams on the back foot. It was what Preston did to us and what teams have done to us in this run of form we are in.

“We haven’t been able to deal with it defensively and we haven’t been effective enough going forward.”
