West Brom are reportedly keen on Nottingham Forest’s Lewis O’Brien. The midfielder worked with Baggies’ boss Carlos Corberan at Huddersfield Town.

According to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon, the Midlands outfit are keeping tabs on his situation at the City Ground. He only joined the Reds last summer following their promotion to the Premier League.

O’Brien, 24, has made 14 appearances in all competitions so far this season, 12 of which have come in the Premier League. He penned a contract until June 2026 when he linked up with Steve Cooper’s side in July.

The Colchester-born man started his career at Huddersfield and rose up through the youth ranks of the Yorkshire club. He was loaned out to Bradford City to get some experience under his belt before going on to make 131 appearances in all competitions for the Terriers, chipping in with eight goals.

He helped them get to the play-off final last term under Corberan but left for Forest after they beat them in the final at Wembley. O’Brien is not a regular starter with the Reds though and West Brom could see him as someone to bolster their options in the middle of the park.

The Baggies drew 3-3 away at Chesterfield yesterday with striker Brandon Thomas-Asante scoring late on to secure a replay. Next up is an away trip to Luton Town next weekend.
