Hide AdWolves' fixtures have potentially given an insight as to where West Brom will be at on some key dates. As a general rule, the two West Midlands clubs are usually kept apart throughout the campaign.
The opening weekend of the Premier League is Friday, August 16 to Sunday, August 18. Wolves begin their season away at Arsenal on Saturday, August 17 which means that West Brom are likely to be at home that weekend which would hint at the Baggies being away on the opening weekend of the Championship.
Wolves are at home to Manchester United on Boxing Day and so West Brom could be playing away from home over the Christmas period. They then travel to Spurs three days later on December 29 which could hint at West Brom being at home, but the decision of whether West Brom will be home or away for their New Year's Day fixture is unclear.
West Brom began last season at Ewood Park, losing 2-1 to Blackburn Rovers. Dilan Markanday and Harry Leonard scored twice in a two-minute salvo and the Baggies never recovered despite Matt Phillips' effort. WBA haven't opened their season with a home fixture since losing 3-0 to Leicester City in a behind-closed-doors match in the Premier League in September 2020.
