Championship points per transfer price table as West Brom, Cardiff, Norwich and rivals ranked

The transfer value of each Championship club compared to the amount of points they've won this season.

West Brom are on course to finish inside the Championship play-off places as the season nearly reaches its climax.

It's two games to go for the Baggies as they hold a six-point lead over Hull City who are just outside the play-offs. They're level on points with Norwich City in sixth and only goal difference separates them. West Brom have occupied fifth spot for the last few months and will want to hold on to the spot as there haven't been many play-off winners in recent years from sixth.

If you finish in fifth as well you play fourth and while whoever finishes fourth which is likely to be Southampton will be seen as a more favourable tie than third, the quality of the league this season shows that there is no easy game. West Brom though will be happy to be involved in the play-offs though should they confirm their place this weekend as not many would have expected them to have been here given the difficulties in the transfer market Carlos Corberan has faced.

The Spaniard has had to work with loanees and free transfers for most of his tenure here. Several players who were loaned out to league rivals like Alex Mowatt and Cedric Kipre returned and have since become key players during his tenure.

Shilen Patel has now arrived and there should be a bit of money to spend when the summer transfer window opens. If it's as a Premier League club then that's amazing and if it's another year in the Championship then there's reasons to be optimistic about a strong promotion push.

Money isn't always a recipe for success however, some spend it wisely while others are counting the costs of their mistakes. Respected website TransferMarkt have done a table this season based on the transfer value of each of the 24 teams in the Championship and put in the cost of every goal. West Brom are of course included along with Cardiff and WBA’s play-off rivals Norwich.
