West Brom

Stoke City have enquired about the availability of West Brom attacker Karlan Grant this month according to a report by TEAMtalk. The former Huddersfield Town man, who is in his third season at the Hawthorns, has scored four goals in 21 appearances in all competitions so far this term.

The Baggies have been dealt a blow with Matt Phillips set for a spell on the sidelines with a quad injury. Boss Carlos Corberan has told the Express & Star: “The injury to him is a more serious injury than we were expecting. He is going to go to see a specialist to know more detail the number of weeks that he will be out.

“But we are talking a minimum number of six and maximum number of 12. So yes, it’s a big injury, a serious injury, we still need the medical confirmation for detail but it’s not an injury of one or two weeks.”

Birmingham City

Birmingham City goalkeeper Neil Etheridge is attracting interest from elsewhere in the Championship. According to reporter Alan Nixon on his Patreon, both Stoke and Huddersfield Town are in talks with the stopper.

Ex-Blues player Jacques Maghoma has fired a warning to his former club on Twitter (see below). He spent five years with the Midlands club from 2015 to 2020.
