West Bromwich Albion are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Ludogorets right-back Pipa before the transfer deadline at 11pm on Friday.

Carlos Corberan is seemingly reuniting with the Spaniard once again after utliising him at Huddersfield Town and then signing him at Olympiacos.

Pipa played 37 times for Huddersfield during the 2020/21 season as the Terriers finished 20th in the Championship. He then featured on 14 occasions as they reached the play-offs a year later.

Transfer speculation has been building throughout Deadline Day that West Brom want to bring in a new right-back to offer competition to Darnell Furlong.

The Daily Mail reports Pipa is “close to joining” Albion, although there’s no indication whether the deal is permanent or merely a loan for the season.

Entering his prime at 26 years of age, Pipa has played 22 times for Bulgarian side Ludogorets since signing in February of this year. If signed, he will become West Brom’s third summer addition.
