West Brom will play Sunderland as the Championship season resumes, following its winter break due to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Will the Baggies be able to restart their season with a bang?

In their last Championship game, back in November, West Brom defeated Stoke City 2-0. Kyle Bartley scored the first, but it was Brandon Thomas-Asante who stole the show with an astonishing overhead kick for the second.

Meanwhile, Sunderland also came out on top in their last game. They beat Millwall by a score of 3-0, with Amad Diallo, Alex Pritchard and Ellis Simms all featuring on the scoresheet.

It’s been a dismal season so far for West Brom, as they sit in 21st position. The Baggies are just outside the relegation zone on goal difference.

Sunderland, on the other hand, have enjoyed a much more comfortable campaign. They’re in 10th place with 30 points.
