West Brom are reportedly keen on Aston Villa defender Lamare Bogarde, according to Football Insider. The 18-year-old has emerged as a potential loan target ahead of the January transfer window with Norwich City also credited with an interest.

Huddersfield Town midfielder Jon Russell, who has been linked with a switch to the Baggies, played for the Terriers’ B team against Sheffield Wednesday earlier this week. He got 70 minutes under his belt as the Owls won 3-0.

Birmingham City

Birmingham have announced on an official club statement that they have been approached by other interested parties. The proposed takeover deal involving MaxCo has now come to an end.

Blues loan trio Hannibal, Auston Trusty and Dion Sanderson are expected to stay for the whole season. As per Birmingham Live reporter Brian Dick in a Q&A, he says that there shouldn’t be ‘too much disruption on that front’ as the Midlands outfit look ahead to the second half of the season.

The trio have all been key players for John Eustace’s side so far and keeping them all would be a big boost. Hannibal has just been away at the World Cup in Qatar with Tunisia.
