It is expected to be a quiet January transfer window at West Brom. However, as detailed in a report by The Athletic, the Baggies ‘may’ look to bring in a right-back to provide competition and cover for Darnell Furlong.

The Baggies have been linked with a move for Portsmouth midfielder Jay Mingi this winter. He was left out of Pompey’s clash against Exeter City away yesterday. The League One side announced on their Twitter account that he wasn’t in the squad due to illness.

Birmingham City

Birmingham City loanee Krystian Bielik is apparently attracting interest from elsewhere this winter. The Poland international has been a hit since joining on loan from Derby County last summer. The Rams’ boss Paul Warne has told Derbyshire Live: “There are a few clubs showing interest in him as you would expect. He has been playing at the World Cup, but there’s nothing new to say.”

John Eustace is expecting a tricky test away at Burnley and has had this to say about Vincent Kompany’s side to BluesTV: “Burnley are the top team in the league, we know the challenges ahead, as long as we are competitive that is all I ask for. They are a very good team, they want to play the right way, they have a fantastic squad of players, it will be a really tough game.”
