West Brom and Preston North End could not be separated last Saturday as the two played to a 1-1 draw at Deepdale.
Karlan Grant opened the scoring but Emil Riis equalised 10 minutes in to the second period. Out of the 18 games the Baggies have played this season, they've played to 10 draws, the most in the division with North End drawing one less. West Brom remain on a ten-game unbeaten run, but nine of those have ended in a stalemate.
They remain in the promotion race, but have dropped out of the top six, and are ten points behind league leaders Sheffield United, despite being top just two months ago. Back to back home games against Sheffield United and Coventry now await West Brom.
In his post-match interview with BBC Radio West Midlands, first-team manager Carlos Corberan said: “They were less aggressive than we probably expected and we managed it well – but we didn’t create enough chances.
“But, in the second half, it was like a totally different game and they were much better than us in the first 15 to 20 minutes.
“We were better in the last 20 minutes and recovered our competitiveness but not enough to win.”
Elsewhere in the division, Sheffield Wednesday beat Derby County in the final offering of the weekend. Middlesbrough, Blackburn Rovers, Bristol City, Norwich City, and Burnley claimed wins over Hull, Leeds United, Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town and Stoke.
There were draws involving Oxford United, Millwall, Watford, QPR, Coventry, Cardiff, Swansea City and Preston. Sheffield United claimed a 1-0 win on Friday to reach the top of the table.
