Bookies' new predicted Championship table after West Brom and Middlesbrough win, Swansea and Luton lose

The Baggies enter the international break having ended their long run without a win.

West Brom finally got back to winning ways at the weekend as they defeated Hull City 2-1 at the MKM Stadium.

The Baggies raced in to a two goal lead thanks to efforts from Karlan Grant and Josh Maja in a five-minute salvo. Joao Pedro scored five minutes from time but the Tigers couldn't find a response and Carlos Corberan's men were able to grind things out for a first win in eight.

Delivering his take on the match, Corberan said to BBC Radio West Midlands: "The Championship is a massive league this year. To win is very hard.

"We have only lost two games out of 15 this season - and we have 25 points. We can compete. It is a message that we need to understand.

"Hull are a very offensive team with quality, so I am very proud of the players.

"We played Thursday night and had only 66 hours to prepare for the game. They had two days more."

Going in to the international break, WBA are now fifth, and just six points off an automatic promotion spot. They have got Norwich City up next at the Hawthorns, and they'll be on the search for a response after losing to Bristol City, who ended their 21-game unbeaten run at home.

The other results at the weekend saw Luton Town thrashed at the hands of Middlesbrough, whilst Burnley claimed a win over Swansea City. Sheffield United won the Steel City Derby, narrowly defeating Sheffield Wednesday. Portsmouth moved off bottom spot with a win against Preston North End whilst there were draws between Derby County and Plymouth and Sunderland and Coventry City.

QPR are now bottom of the table after losing 2-0 to Leeds United, whilst Oxford United lost 1-0 to Watford. Blackburn Rovers beat Cardiff City in the early lunch time kick off on Saturday and both Stoke City and Millwall couldn't be separated following a 1-1 draw.

Following the latest results, here’s how the bookmakers rate West Brom’s chances of promotion compared to their rivals. Take a look...
