Due to the enormous parachute payments on offer to those relegated from the Premier League, the financial gap between teams in the Championship is one of the biggest in world football.
Those leading the way in the league are often the same ones that were playing in the division above the year prior - not always - but often.
To many, that is a problem and is debate in itself. One that we will save for another day.
But to see just how strongly that does ring true, we’ve taken a look at the total value of each squad in the Championship as well as the player currently holding the biggest pound signs above their head in each specific team.
All values are based on assessments made by the transfermarkt.co.uk website and are accurate as of March 22, 2022.

1. AFC Bournemouth - £152.64m
Attacking Midfielder David Brooks has a market value of £14.40m whilst on loan midfielder Todd Cantwell boasts one of £18.00m.

2. Fulham - £132.30m
The Championship’s top scorer is Fulham’s most valuable player at £16.20m.

3. Sheffield United - £84.69m
