West Brom travel to the King Power Arena for a lunch time clash with Leicester City in the Sky Bet Championship.

Both the Baggies and the Foxes are on the search for a response after suffering defeats last week. West Brom lost at home to Sunderland whilst Leicester tasted defeat on their travels at Plymouth Argyle.

West Brom team news

Brandon Thomas-Asante will have to sit this game out. He picked up a second yellow card in the defeat to Sunderland and as a result will have to serve a one-match suspension.

Thomas-Asante’s absence could mean a role for Josh Maja. Maja had been sidelined with an ankle injury for months but returned earlier this month. 

Daryl Dike and Jayson Molumby are both sidelined through injury. Dike ruptured his Achilles whilst Molumby has been contending with a foot injury.

Carlos Corberan posted a positive injury update last week saying that the players had been recovering well. Molumby has been training whilst Dike has started his recovery. 

Another player that is likely to miss out is Martin Kelly. Kelly has not played a game for the senior team this season.

Kasey McAteer has been missing for over two months. He’s missed the last eight games. 

Harry Souttar isn’t in contention to play. He’s been missing for the last five games but is Leicester’s only injury concern. 

Marc Albrighton, Wanya Marcal and Kelechi Iheanacho were all absent from the match day squad against Plymouth last week. Enzo Maresca was questioned on giving Cannon and Iheanacho an opportunity and he said he would ‘analyse the situation’. Any further any changes however are doubtful.
