West Brom and Leicester City could potentially swap managers as it emerged who the former would target if Carlos Corberan left for the Premier League club.
The Foxes are on the search for a new first-team manager after sacking Steve Cooper last weekend. Newly promoted Leicester weren’t in the relegation zone but decided to part company with the Welshman, despite only appointing him in the summer.

Leicester want to find Cooper’s replacement swiftly and ideal would have someone in place before the weekend. They do appreciate however that they might have to bide their time, should their next boss be someone who is in work.
Corberan was reportedly of interest to Leicester in the summer. The Spaniard has done a good job at the Hawthorns, guiding West Brom to the play-offs last season. At this moment in time, there has been no approach from Leicester for Corberan.
Latest from West Brom

Should he leave, they think that Steve Cooper might not find himself out of work for long as he would be a ‘main target’ for West Brom as well as recently axed Coventry City boss Mark Robins.
“Carlos could still turn them down tbf but I highly doubt he would. He gets a shot a Premier league football. Robins or Cooper would be main targets for #WBA going forward if Carlos was to go.”
Ruud van Nistlerooy talks
West Brom might not have to worry about losing Corberan, as other outlets are reporting that Ruud van Nistlerooy is the favourite. Football Insider say that the Man United legend is the favourite for the job following talks today.
Hamburg SV are also interested in appointing the Dutchman and van Nistlerooy will be eager to get back into management following his caretaker spell at Old Trafford.
