West Bromwich Albion head coach Carlos Corberan is the bookies’ early favourite to take over from Jesse Marsch at Leeds United.

Marsch was sacked by Leeds on Monday afternoon (6 February) after a string of poor results which left them in 17th place and just one place above the relegation zone.

A few names have cropped up but an early favourite is Corberan with odds at 5/4, according to BetVictor. The current Baggies manager has caught the eye of a few Premier League teams with his performance in the Championship this season.

Albion are currently fighting for promotion in the Championship having undergone a remarkable turnaround since Corberan took over from Steve Bruce when the side were in the releagtion zone, and Baggies fans will be desperate for the former Huddersfield and Olympiakos manager to stay at the club.

The Spaniard worked under Marcelo Bielsa during his time in West Yorkshire and is highly thought of at Elland Road.

Another name in contention is Leeds’ previous manager Bielsa, with odds at 8/1. The Argentine has been without a club after parting ways back in 2022. Bielsa guided Leeds back into topflight football after a 16-year absence.
