West Brom make the trip up to Humberside on Sunday afternoon but the hosts have been dealt some bad news.

West Brom's next opponents Hull City have been dealt a major blow after one of their players was seemingly ruled out for the remainder of the season.

Algerian winger Mohamed Belloumi has apparently suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury in the defeat to Oxford United on Tuesday night, according to BBC Radio Humberside. According to the Hull Live, the club are hopeful it isn't as bad as first thought, but there is a growing concern that a scan will confirm their worries.

The 22-year-old has been a big part of Hull's attack this season and has registered two goals and two assists. Under pressure boss Tim Walter will now be tasked with finding a suitable replacement to take on the Baggies defence on Sunday.

Belloumi's suspected injury is the second ACL injury in the space of a few weeks. Midfielder Liam Millar also suffered an ACL injury towards the end of October. The 25-year-old had six starts and five substitute appearances, bringing up two assists and a goal before he was hit with the devastating news of a season ending injury.

Another one of their players Oscar Zambrano was given a 16-month ban by the South American Football Confederation prior to his move to the MKM Stadium, for allegedly breaching doping regulations. Zambrano did not play against Oxford United in midweek, but according to Hull Live, he will work with the club and his lawyers to work to get the ban overturned by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Abu Kamara meanwhile will be assessed. He took a heavy knock to his ankle against his former club Portsmouth, and left the game in a protective boot. The England under-20s winger is pushing to be a part of the action on Sunday.

Other absentees for Hull include Marvin Mehlem, Steven Alzate, Carl Rushworth, Harvey Cartwright, and Thimothee Lo-Tutala. They’re expected to return after the international break.
