Don Goodman praises 'proper' West Brom forward and names 'phenomenal' new signing

Goodman has singled out an attacker for praise and commended West Brom for a “phenomenal” summer signing. The ex-Baggie, now a pundit for Sky Sports and BBC Radio 5 Live, believes Albion are in better shape this season than they were last.
With 10 points gained out of the first 12 available, there’s not much arguing with Goodman’s point. Many were worried about Albion before a ball was kicked but Corberan has once again been getting the best out of the bad financial situation.

Hide AdJosh Maja, who has contributed four goals and an assist in the opening four Championship fixtures, has been named as the difference maker by Goodman. “Maja got off to a fantastic start on the opening day at QPR and looks like a proper striker and a real handful,” Goodman said.
“What I loved was, against Swansea, Maja won his team the game by being unselfish and squaring the ball to Jayson Molumby. That's a striker who is in form and is seeing the bigger picture. I love that. It's been a solid start and long may it continue.”

Maja hasn’t been the only one in form. Karlan Grant, previously completely out of sorts at the club, has been a surprise package over on the left flank while the likes of Torbjorn Heggem and Tom Fellows have been stand-out performers.
Goodman believes the success can be put down to a subtle change in system. “It seems to me that Albion want to control the ball more than previously under Corberan. The balance is good,” the pundit commented.
