Championship team of the week features West Brom, Watford, Norwich and Ipswich stars

The Championship team of the week for fixtures played on April 9 and April 10 have been revealed.

West Brom got back to winning ways as they defeated already relegated Rotherham United 2-0 at the Hawthorns in the Sky Bet Championship.

John Swift scored from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time to double the Baggies lead after Brandon Thomas-Asante had put the hosts in front. No further goal action came from either side but the win helped solidify their place in the top six.

Before the midweek round of fixtures, Carlos Corberan's men were in danger of dropping to sixth but Norwich City squandered a two goal lead and were held by Sheffield Wednesday, so West Brom made full advantage by going four points clear of them.

Elsewhere in the race for the play-offs, Coventry City lost 2-1 to Southampton despite pulling a goal back through Jake Bidwell whilst Hull City and Middlesbrough could not be separated in a match either side could not afford to lose.

West Brom are on a ten game unbeaten run, hitting form at the right time and it's hoped they'll be able to carry that on until the end of the season with four games remaining. Six points separate them and Southampton but the Saints have six games remaining and so fourth looks unlikely.

Elsewhere in the division, Millwall shocked league leaders Leicester City, Plymouth Argyle and QPR drew, Preston North End inflicted a 4-1 defeat on Huddersfield Town and Leeds United were held to a goalless draw by Sunderland on Tuesday night.

The action continued on Wednesday with Bristol City thrashing Blackburn Rovers 5-0, whilst West Brom's Midlands rivals Birmingham City suffered a 1-0 defeat to Cardiff City. Ipswich Town were held to a goalless draw by Watgford, whilst Swansea City beat Stoke City 3-0.

In what was a full round of fixtures, there will have been players that will have come out earning praise from their fans, manager and teammates. WhoScored and the EFL have come together to reveal their team of the week based on their ratings from their respective matches. See who made the cut.
