AI predicts final Championship table with West Brom, Middlesbrough, QPR, Stoke and Watford twists

West Brom are hoping to go one step further in the Championship this season after losing in the play-offs.

The Baggies fell to a 3-1 defeat on aggregate to eventual winners Southampton in May, and now Carlos Corberan's men will want to put that all behind them. A clear out has been made on the squad with some experienced players departing the Hawthorns, but there have also been some incomings.

Ousmane Diakité and Joe Wildsmith have joined for free meanwhile there was a fee paid to IF Brommapojkarna for Norweigan defender Torbjørn Heggem. Heggem's arrival is a welcomed one as Cedric Kipre looks set to join Stade de Reims on a free transfer.

It's a little over two weeks until WBA travel to the capital to face QPR at Loftus Road on the opening day of the season. The squad is settled at the minute but there is still some time for some movement both in and out.

In the mean time, West Brom are continuing with their pre-season preparations. They face Mallorca in a behind-closed-doors friendly after losing to Blackpool on Tuesday (July 23). They have Cambridge United on Friday, August 2 in what is the only time supporters will be permitted entry to one of their friendlies, before rounding things off a day later against their West Midlands rivals Birmingham City.
