West Brom are in the top-half of the table when it comes to Championship away followings this season.

The Baggies took an estimate of around 2,000 fans to Hull City on Saturday despite it being an early kick-off. West Brom's level of support on the road this season has been respectable and it's been some time since they took less than four figures to an away ground.

English Football League website The 72 have been collating the figures of away attendances up until December 26 and then individually releasing the figures from each away game. We have tallied up the totals and worked out the averages and according to our calculations based on the information from what The 72 provides us, West Brom's away support is the 12th best in the division.

West Midlands rivals Birmingham City are five places higher and have a higher average of 510. The best away support in the Championship goes to Leeds United who are just 21 fans shy of taking 3,000 to every every match. The worst in the division is Rotherham United who average 932, and are the only club that don't take more than three figures on average. The Millers are rock bottom of the Championship however and have lost six of their last league games.

A home match against Coventry City is the first of 12 games remaining in their season with the 2023/24 campaign now three quarters of a way through. Fans have an opportunity to bolster their number as West Brom have a midweek trip to QPR to look forward to next Wednesday and then play Huddersfield Town on Sunday, March 10 with fans once again tasked with an early start.

The other away matches West Brom have left in their season is a trip to Millwall on Good Friday (March 29) and then to Stoke City on April 6. Trips to Leicester City and then to West Brom on April 20 and April 27 finish up their travelling before a home match at Preston North End concludes the regular season. Fans will be hoping for at least two more trips though with an away play-off and a trip to Wembley however.
