West Brom are on their travels this week as they head down to the South Coast to play Southampton in the second leg of their Championship play-off.
An allocation of 2,000 tickets were granted by the Saints to Baggies fans and they were all snapped up within a few days. The tie is evenly poised at 0-0 with everything to play for. West Brom did have a few chances in the first leg and they will be hopeful of quietening the home crowd with an early goal.
Being based in the Midlands can come in handy when travelling to away games. Supporters don't have to travel too far to some games with a few only taking an hour or so. There's various different ways of getting to them too, some enjoy travelling on the train and making an atmosphere on there, others use coaches and then some just take the car.
In terms of performances on the road this season, West Brom's away form was below mid-table. In the 23 games that they played, they won six, drew eight and lost nine, scoring 32 goals and conceding 30 with a goal difference of plus two and an overall points taly of 26.
Thanks to The 72, we can see see how West Brom’s away support compares to their rivals. They would push the away followings of every match throughout the season and now with all the totals added up, this is how WBA compare to the likes of Sunderland, Middlesbrough and other Championship teams.
