West Brom will take on Coventry City in the Championship tonight after a disappointing performance against the Sky Blues last time out where they lost 1-0. Victor Gyokeres scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot to give Mark Robins’ side all three points back in December.

However, the Baggies have improved massively since then, with that defeat being just one of three under the new boss so far. But Coventry remain in good form too, sitting just three points below their Midlands rivals.

Albion are a single point away from the top six, which will remain their goal for the second half of the season. They will also be boosted ahead of this one by the deadline day additions of Marc Albrighton and Nathaniel Chalobah who could make their respective debuts at The Hawthorns tonight.

The game will also be West Brom’s dedicated Kick it Out fixture, with tributes set to be paid to former player Cyrille Regis who played for both sides and helped combat discrimination within the sport and society.

What is the injury news ahead of the game?

Albion’s two new signings Albrighton and Chalobah are both available for this one after receiving the all-clear to play some part in Friday’s game as Corberan confirmed earlier in the week.

"I’m really pleased with the market,” the boss said whilst speaking to WBA.co.uk. I think we needed to cover one position in the middle of the pitch and that’s why we brought Chalobah into the team and added him to the squad.

"And after losing Matt Phillips we understood that we needed cover on the wing with a player with experience and a good character, that it was necessary for us to complete the squad.

"Both players for me can make an impact in the Championship because they have the skills and the experience. One was playing more, Chalobah less but he was on the bench, so it means that both arrive in the condition, mentally and physically to be in the squad."

West Brom will once again be without Matt Phillips, who was confirmed to be out for the rest of the season with a quadriceps injury. The winger went down during their FA Cup third-round replay win over Chesterfield after being brought on as a substitute.

His absence is likely to mean Corberan turns to either Grady Diangana or new signing Albrighton in the meantime. The former having started their most recent league game, a 2-1 defeat to top of the league Burnley at Turf Moor.

Midfielder John Swift will also return tonight, after being missing from the FA Cup defeat to Bristol City last weekend with an ankle knock. The former Reading and Chelsea man should slot in for Tom Rogic.

This game will also come slightly too soon for Kyle Bartley who completed 60 minutes in the under-21’s defeat to Aston Villa in PL2. He is likely to return ahead of the Birmingham City game next Friday (Friday, February 10).

The defender has missed a large proportion of Corberan’s reign after making a start in parallel with the rest of the team under the Spaniard. Bartley hasn’t played since the World Cup break after injuring himself in a mid-season friendly game against Spanish LaLiga outfit Elche.
