West Bromwich Albion will be eager to improve their away form as they head to South Wales to take on relegation battlers Cardiff City on Wednesday evening. Having lost all of their last four fixtures on the road, The Baggies have slipped away from the playoff spots somewhat, but a win midweek would boost their hopes.

Hide AdCardiff are well down in 21st place and are struggling on the team news front. Former Premier League pair Joe Ralls and Connor Wickham missed Saturday’s defeat to Preston North End with training injuries and remain doubts for Wednesday. Cedric Kipre, who is on loan with Bluebirds from West Brom, is ruled out as he is ineligible to face his parent club.
Ex-Baggies forward Callum Robinson is another player sidelined as he is still recovering from a hamstring injury sustained at the end of last month. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Jak Alnwick is suspended following a late red card at Preston. He is expected to be replaced in the starting XI by British South Asian stopper Rohan Luthra.
Albion, meanwhile, still have plenty of fitness concerns of their own to deal with. Josh Griffiths will stay between the sticks for a while longer as Alex Palmer will likely be back after the international break. Experienced defender Kyle Bartley faces a similar fate as to his return date.
