Bookies' new final predicted Championship table after Cardiff, Swansea & Stoke City win but West Brom draw

West Brom had to accept a point despite taking the lead against Luton Town on Friday night.

West Brom's winless run stretched to seven games in the Championship after they drew 1-1 with Luton Town on Friday night.

Josh Maja gave the Baggies the lead as he scored with some quick-thinking to turn the ball in with his heel, nutmegging his opponents in the process. It was an otherwise uneventful first-half, and there was a subdued atmosphere at Kenilworth Road.

Former Birmingham City midfielder Tahith Chong equalised for the hosts on the hour mark with there being no second goal from either side. West Brom have now drawn their last five matches, and now find themselves sixth in the Championship table.

Carlos Corberan's side started the season so well, and were battling Sunderland for a place in the top two, however they find themselves five points off the automatic promotion places. Speaking after the game to BBC Radio West Midlands, the Spaniard said: "In general, I was happy with the defence. I was happy to achieve the point.

"You can criticise the way we tried to play. But you cannot criticise the effort.

"We just need to play with more quality."

Elsewhere in the Championship, Swansea City and Stoke City claimed wins over Oxford United and Derby County in the early kick-offs. Despite Dane Scarlett's late effort, Zan Viotnik and Florian Bianchini's goals were enough for the Welsh side to earn all three points.

In Staffordshire, Ben Gibson scored eight minutes from time to guide the Potters to victory, after a Viktor Johansson own goal had cancelled out Tom Cannon's opener from the spot.

Later on in the day, Cardiff City came from behind to defeat Norwich City. The in-form Borja Sainz opened the scoring with a stunning strike but Callum Robinson got the Bluebirds back on level terms, and then Callum O'Dowda scored in stoppage time.
