A bold call brings defensive change: West Brom predicted XI vs Birmingham City

Steve Bruce and West Brom are looking to extend their unbeaten run to five games.

West Bromwich Albion are looking to keep their impressive run versus Birmingham City going when the two face off on Sunday afternoon.

The Baggies haven’t lost a game in any competition versus the Blues since 2006 - a Gary McSheffrey double giving the hosts a 2-0 victory at St Andrew’s in the Championship that day.

Since then though it’s been all Albion, including of course the 1-0 win in the reverse fixture back in October.

Whilst the recent results have remained constant, the two teams this season have been far from that and it’s been all change since Karlan Grant fired home the only goal of the game at the Hawthorns six months ago.

A new manager sits in the dugout for Albion and there’s been a huge amount of turnover at St Andrew’s with plenty of fresh faces expected to take the field for the Blues this time round.

West Brom go into this game on a four game unbeaten run but have been hit by the bad news that big money signing Daryl Dike may not play again this year.

Away from the American though, Bruce does have a near fully fit squad to choose from and isn’t expected to change much from the side that drew 2-2 with Bristol City last time out.

We have predicted a change though and a bold one at that.

Here’s the eleven in full that we think Albion line-up with at St Andrew’s on Sunday afternoon.

Since then though it’s been all Albion, including of course the 1-0 win in the reverse fixture back in October.
