West Brom player ratings for 2023/24 Championship season so far - gallery

Here's how the West Brom players rank from worst to best in the 2023/24 season so far according to a reputable website.

West Brom have had a fairly satisfactory start to the 2023/24 Championship campaign so far.

Despite the off-the-field issues such as the uncertainty around the clubs ownership, and the lack of transfers, Carlos Corberan has done a good job all said and done. The Baggies are seventh in the league standings in the third international break of the campaign, and are only outside of the play-offs on goal difference. We're 16 games into the league season, with a little over the quarter of the campaign gone, and when the festive period fixtures come about, we'll soon approach the half-way stage.

West Brom finished the latest block of fixtures with a 2-1 defeat to in-form Southampton at St Mary's Stadium, but before then they were on a four-game unbeaten run, and earned some plaudits for their performances. Football is a team game, but you do have some players that stand out more than others, and fans do have their favourites. Grady Diangana for example is a player that can get fans off of their seats given how good he is on the ball, and how he can dribble past an opponent.

Other players such as defenders don't get as many plaudits for a good tackle, as they would perhaps for a midfielder or striker scoring a great goal. It's been good to see Cedric Kipre however return from his loan spell at Cardiff City as a reinvented player, and the same can be said for Alex Mowatt after being at Middlesbrough.
