Speaking to the official club website, Carlos Corberan said: "Andi has proven himself to be an excellent Championship player for many years, and we are pleased to have him with us.

“He adds quality and experience to our attacking options and is a welcome addition to the group.

“He is fit and ready to play which is also important. We’re looking forward to working with Andi and I’m confident he will make a positive contribution during his time here.”

The 32-year-old could make his debut against Norwich City on the weekend after being deemed fit by the manager. Weimann has made 20 appearances in the Championship this season with one goal and one assist.

He spent five-and-a-half-years in total at Bristol City, and departs having made 216 appearances for the Robins. He scored 51 goals and notched up 29 assists and his career best campaign came in 2021/22 when he got 22 goals and 10 assists after not missing a game.

Commenting on his move to West Brom, Weimann said: “I’m really looking forward to the next few months. I know a lot about the club and I’ve been around the area for a while now.

“I just want to help as much as I can and get this club to where it wants to be.

“I’m definitely a team player, but I also think I’ve got goals in me. Hopefully I can bring goals, assists and experience to the team."

West Brom's business with Bristol City has not stopped at Weimann however with Taylor Gardner-Hickman going in the other direction. Gardner-Hickman was already on loan at Ashton Gate but his move has now been made permanent.

The 22-year-old ends a 15-year association with West Brom after completing his move to the West Country. He made 60 appearances for the first-team after breaking in to the fold back in 2021.
