Hide AdBatth was training with Wolves’ under-21 team at Compton at the start of the month to build fitness but, although it would be a mightily romantic move and one popular with the fans, Batth returning to Molineux is not on the cards.
The former Sunderland, Stoke City, Sheffield Wednesday and Colchester United man has never made an appearance in the Premier League and was a backup figure at Norwich last campaign.
The Lancashire Telegraph reports talks are advanced with Batth over a move to Ewood Park, with manager John Eustace keen on adding experience to his back line. As the defender boasts 316 career Championship appearances, it’s a move that makes sense.

Hide AdBatth, who played 212 times for Wolves between 2010 and 2018, has had the luxury of taking his time to find a new club. Training with the Old Gold’s youth squad has allowed the veteran defender to maintain sharpness.
From the nearby Brierley Hill, Batth was a regular in the second tier for several years and played 16 times during the 2017/18 Championship-winning campaign. A threat from set pieces, the defender was - and remains - very popular with supporters.
