Talks are underway between Birmingham City and Fulham for two players.

Birmingham City have reportedly lodged a bid to sign Fulham midfielder Luke Harris on a season-long loan deal.

The Wales Under-21 international spent the second half of last campaign on loan at Exeter City, where he quickly became a favourite with four goals in 19 starts.

Sky Sports reports Birmingham have officially sent an offer to Fulham, providing Harris a step up to the summit of League One after his success lower down the division with Exeter. The 19-year-old has made seven senior appearances for Fulham to date, including four in the Premier League.

Harris isn’t the only Fulham man Birmingham are keen on acquiring this summer as Blues are interested in signing Jay Stansfield on a permanent deal . The versatile attacker spent last term on loan at St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park sensationally scooped every individual accolade at the club’s end of season awards.

Manager Chris Davies refused to rule out a return to Blues for Stansfield but is aware it’ll be a difficult transfer to complete. “There’s always a chance,” Davies admitted after the open training session at Birmingham City Elite Performance and Innovation Centre.

“He’s a player that won all the awards last year and when I analysed the team before I came in he was the stand-out player. He’s gone back to a really good Premier League club that obviously value him highly and they have their own plans and their own ambitions.

“If he became available and we could do it, it would be something that would be really exciting for everyone. But everyone knows it will be a challenge to do that,” Davies continued.
