Birmingham City 'bids' truth unveiled amid Leeds United and Ipswich Town speculation

Birmingham City are yet to receive any official bids for highly sort-after midfielder Jordan James, Birmingham World understands.
The Wales international’s desire is still to depart St Andrew’s @ Knighthead Park this summer with Premier League and Championship clubs circling. Blues haven’t had the chance to act on the situation, though, as no offers have landed in the inbox since January.

The teams reportedly interested in signing James include Ipswich Town, Leeds United, Southampton, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Leicester City. As it stands, however, not one of these clubs have stepped forward with a formal bid.

James, an 11-time Wales international already at the age of 19, scored an impressive eight goals in 42 league matches last term. Capable of playing in a variety of midfield roles and only set to get better, it’s clear to see why interest is high.
Blues not panicking about Jordan James
Birmingham, with or without James, are in a stellar position ahead of the new season. Blues, boasting a Championship-level squad for the most part and bolstered by several top-class signings, are the clear and undisputed favourites to win League One.

The club’s internal approach is to build as much depth in quality as possible, not only relying on having the strongest starting squad.
