Aston Villa and Crystal Palace weighing up approaches for 'expelled' £25m Chelsea star

Trevoh Chalobah has been told to stay away from Chelsea’s Cobham training base for the foreseeable future as he’s not part of Enzo Maresca’s plans.
The central defender, who has been at the club since he was just eight years old, must spend his time away from the rest of the squad before he agrees to transferring away from the club.

Chelsea’s explanation is that it’s better for the dispensable players to not have a false expectation for their futures. It’s claimed that Chalobah, along with Romelu Lukaku and Armando Broja, won’t be invited back to the first-team at all.
The report from The Telegraph also states Villa and Crystal Palace have expressed an interest and are weighing up signing Chalobah, looking to offer the defender an escape route. Chelsea are said to be seeking bids of around £25 million.

Chalobah has been a decent rotation option for the Blues throughout the past three seasons, making a total of 58 Premier League appearances. The 25-year-old went out on loan three times between 2018 and 2021 but he’s remained at Chelsea ever since.
