The Athletic reports a fee of £45m plus add-ons has been accepted by Forest and Johnson is on his way to North London to complete his medical tests and paperwork.

Described as Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou’s top target, Johnson played in all 38 Premier League matches for Forest last campaign, scoring eight goals and assisting a further three.

In the Championship the season before, the Wales international got on the scoresheet 16 times and set up nine goals for his teammates. After seven years as a senior, Johnson leaves his boyhood club.
