Aston Villa striker Keinan Davis is set to join Serie A outfit Udinese after a late hijack, inflicting a blow to a whole host of EFL Championship clubs.

The 25-year-old has been linked heavily with the likes of Birmingham City, Middlesbrough and Hull City over the last few weeks and days but he’s now Italy-bound.

As reported by The Athletic, Davis is already undergoing a medical in Italy ahead of completing his transfer to Udinese on a permanent basis.

Villa have accepted a fee in the region of £2-£3 million including add-ons, similar to the offer Hull City had agreed with the Villans just a few days ago.

Davis, who has played 86 times and scored six goals for Villa at senior level since graduating from the academy, makes his first permanent move after two Championship loan spells.

First at Nottingham Forest and then Watford, the former England U20 international has scored 12 goals in the English second tier throughout the past two seasons.
