The Sky Bet Championship is highly regarded as one of the best footballing talent hotspots in the world, let alone just in the United Kingdom.
Premier League action gets the attention globally but plenty of the young talent on show comes from divisions below and especially the English second tier.
In recent years, the likes of Jude Bellingham, James Maddison, Eberechi Eze, Jarrod Bowen and Alex Scott have joined top-tier clubs from Championship teams when under the age of 23.
The transfer fees generated for the players mentioned were all above £15 million, with Birmingham City, Norwich City, Queens Park Rangers, Hull City and Bristol City raking in the cash.
There's no sign of the talent pool in the Championship shrinking, either, with the likes of Archie Gray, Jobe Bellingham, Jonathan Rowe, Jordan James and George Hall impressing for their respective clubs this season.
But how do the division's best wonderkids stack up against one another when it comes to their transfer values? Here are the top 20 most expensive Under-21 players in the Championship, as per figures from Transfermarkt.
