The Premier League teams shown on Sky Sports and TNT Sports the most in 2023/24: Aston Villa and Wolves compared to Tottenham, Chelsea and rivals

Every Premier League team benefits financially from huge TV deals but not all are aired live as regularly in the UK as you may think.

The Premier League, as the most popular footballing division on the planet, is watched by hundreds of millions across the world. Most matches can be seen on television screens in several continents or via streaming platforms but UK viewers can only access a select few each weekend.

Sky Sports and TNT Sports have the most slots throughout the course of each campaign, while there are occasional periods for Amazon Prime Video to take the baton. The latter platform often takes the Christmas coverage, giving UK fans a rare opportunity to choose any game they so desire.

With broadcasters having to adhere to the Saturday 3pm blackout rules, great care must be taken for which matches are selected. The bigger clubs often get priority, even if their fixtures aren’t the most desirable or important.

This can sometimes leave supporters of the smaller teams feeling aggrieved, particularly if they are unable to visit matches in person. It’s the nature of the beast, though, and something UK-based fans have had to grow accustomed to.

Which clubs, then, were the most selected by the broadcasters throughout the season just gone? Could Aston Villa, enjoying their best season in decades, break the ‘big six’ favouritism? Did Wolverhampton Wanderers step up in the mid-table ranks?

As collated by Football365 and not including the full Amazon Prime and TNT Sports game week schedules shown over Christmas and early April, here’s a full run-through from the least appearances to the most.
