Wolverhampton Wanderers were tipped to be Premier League relegation battlers at the start of the season but most have been made to eat their words as Gary O'Neil has guided the Old Gold into the top half at the 23-game mark.
Sunday's 4-2 thrashing of Chelsea at Stamford Bridge has rather remarkably moved Wolves to within just four points of the European places. The best part is Wanderers, one of the ultimate Premier League surprise packages this season, are showing no sign of stopping anytime soon.
Most would assume outperforming expectations would raise the values of the players in the squad, but that's not the case. O'Neil has done very well to work with a lack of transfer activity but it's more impressive still when you consider how Wolves' squad value compares to others in the division.
With figures updated at the end of the winter transfer window, here's how all 20 Premier League clubs rank for total transfer value, emphasising further just how well Wolves are doing in the current climate.
