Another action-packed weekend of Premier League football has seen major results unfold in various battles up and down the division. Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers enjoyed great success, too, giving supporters in the West Midlands plenty to cheer about.

Unai Emery's Villans thrashed Nottingham Forest by four goals to two to strengthen their Champions League hopes, moving eight points clear of Manchester United who were defeated 2-1 by Fulham at Old Trafford. Wolverhampton Wanderers, meanwhile, soared into eighth spot with a narrow 1-0 win over relegation battlers Sheffield United.

Arsenal humbled Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium with a comfortable 4-1 victory on Saturday evening, responding to Manchester City earning all three points with a 1-0 win away at AFC Bournemouth. Liverpool, still at the top, didn't play in the Premier League this time around as they were busy beating Chelsea in the Carabao Cup Final at Wembley Stadium.

Other results include Crystal Palace winning 3-0 against Burnley on Oliver Glasner's managerial debut and a 1-1 draw between Brighton & Hove Albion and Everton at the American Express Stadium. So many players in those games as - well as the others mentioned - impressed this week that it would be difficult to pick just 11, but WhoScored does the hard yards for us.
