Premier League team of the week includes Wolves, Brighton, Nottingham Forest and West Ham stars

Here's how the Premier League team of the week shapes up for the midweek of December 26-28.

The Premier League's festive midweek fixtures are now over, with all 20 teams having taken to the field between Boxing Day and December 26. It all began with Nottingham Forest's thrilling 3-1 win away at Newcastle United as Forest forward Chris Wood scored a hat-trick to haunt his former club.

Luton Town earned a huge three points in the relegation battle as they were on the correct side of a five-goal thriller at Sheffield United, while West Ham United stunned Arsenal by winning 2-0 at Emirates Stadium on Thursday night.

Other notable results included Brighton and Hove Albion thrashing Tottenham Hotspur by four goals to two, Manchester United coming from 2-0 down to beat Aston Villa 3-2, and Wolverhampton Wanderers recording a dominant 4-1 win away at Brentford.

So many players impressed this midweek that it would be very tricky to pick just 11 to form a team of the week, but thankfully WhoScored's rating system has done the hard yards for us. With that in mind, here are the 11 best performers in a 4-3-3 formation.
