Here’s how the Premier League team of the week shapes up for the weekend of 13-15 January 2023 - as Aston Villa, Brighton, Wolves, Arsenal and Chelsea dominate.
It was another thrilling weekend of Premier League action as not one of the 10 matches played ended in a draw. There were a few surprise results as Nottingham Forest earned all three points in a relegation six-pointer with Leicester City, and Brighton & Hove Albion thrashed Liverpool by three goals to nil at the Amex.
Southampton ended a streak of seven games without a league win as they were victorious in a tense 2-1 away at Everton. Nathan Jones’ side had taken confidence from beating Manchester City in the cup and they are now level on points with the Toffees and another fellow bottom-three team, West Ham United.
Two highly-anticipated derby clashes ended in delight for the squads in red as Manchester United got one over their neighbours Manchester City, whereas Arsenal extended their lead at the summit of the table with a 2-0 win at Tottenham Hotspur. As the Premier League reaches its halfway point for many and nears it for others, the campaign is set up for an exhilarating conclusion.

Made five saves and kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win over Crystal Palace.
2. RB: Serge Aurier - 7.9
Dominant display at right-back, dealt well with the threat of Jamie Vardy.
3. CB: Thiago Silva - 8.0
Made an outstanding seven clearances, four tackles, one interception and won six aerial duels.
4. CB: Max Kilman - 8.0
Made it look easy against Michail Antonio, registering eight clearances, five successful aerial duels and five tackles.
