Predicted Premier League table after transfers for Aston Villa, Tottenham, West Ham, Brighton and rivals

It was a transfer window to forget for most in the Premier League as merely eight of the 20 clubs forked out a transfer fee at all, while the total spend for the division was around £95 million – less than what Chelsea paid for Enzo Fernandez alone last winter.

Nonetheless, some business still went ahead, with a few teams strengthened and others weakened by done deals. The biggest fee of the window was £25 million as Tottenham Hotspur signed Romania international defender Radu Dragusin from Genoa. Adam Wharton from Blackburn Rovers to Crystal Palace was the next most significant, with £18.5 million paid on Deadline Day.

West Midlands clubs Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers had fairly steady windows. The Villans brought in five signings but two are for the academy and the other three are first-teamers but for the future. Morgan Rogers was the big deal as the forward joined from Middlesbrough for £8 million rising to £15 million. Wolves' only noteable business, meanwhile, was Noha Lemina arriving on loan from Paris Saint-Germain.
