An updated final Premier League table has emerged after one of the most unpredictable weekends of the season so far shook up the order at both ends of the standings.
Newly promoted minnows Luton Town drew 1-1 with title challengers Liverpool, the struggling Sheffield United beat the high-flying Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Nottingham Forest earned their first win in six to beat top-four challengers Aston Villa.
Meanwhile, West Ham United dropped yet more points as they failed to hold onto their 2-1 lead at Brentford, and Newcastle United, on the right end of some controversial VAR calls, ended Arsenal’s unbeaten streak with a 1-0 victory at St. James’ Park.
The other results included Fulham 0-1 Manchester United, Burnley 0-2 Crystal Palace, Everton 1-1 Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester City 6-1 AFC Bournemouth. Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea are still to play.
