Predicted Championship table forecasts final positions for West Brom, Middlesbrough, Norwich City and rivals

West Bromwich Albion have had an outstanding start to the new campaign and currently occupy top spot, but there are still another 40 games to go to decide the final order.

The likes of Leeds United, Sheffield United, Luton Town and Middlesbrough are yet to get properly in their swing, while Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers are surprising a few with their fine form.

Away from the title and automatic promotion fight, the battle for the play-off spots is hotting up and it’s only going to get more competitive as the season goes on.

The same can be said for the relegation scrap as Cardiff City are down in the doldrums alongside expected candidates Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth. Preston North End and Plymouth Argyle could get sucked in too, while there’s eventually bound to be a drop-off from the recently promoted Oxford United and Derby County.
