Predicted Championship table as fixtures announced for Birmingham City, West Brom, Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich Town, Sunderland and rivals - gallery

Following the Championship fixture announcement, here’s an early prediction of how the final standings could look at the end of the 2023/24 season.

The Sky Bet Championship fixtures have been announced around six weeks ahead of the beginning of the 2023/24 season and supporters up and down the country are already getting excited.

Action in the English second flight only came to a close just around a month and a half ago but that hasn’t halted fans from digging teeth into the hot debate about where their club - or rivals - may finish next term.

Plymouth Argyle, Ipswich Town and Sheffield Wednesday were promoted from League One, replacing the relegated Reading, Blackpool and Wigan Athletic, whereas Leicester City, Leeds United and Southampton return to the Championship after their relegations from the Premier League.

Eyes in the West Midlands will be on Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion as they look to progress under John Eustace and Carlos Corberan. It could be tough, though, as the Championship season ahead has the potential to be one of the most competitive in recent history.

As far as the odds are concerned, things are looking rather tight at both ends of the table, with the slightest fractions of probability separating teams. The odds have emerged nonetheless, though, to give an idea of who could finish where.

With that in mind, flick through the pages for a full dive into the latest likeliest table, courtesy of odds from Sky Bet.
