West Brom are on the search for their first away win of the New Year as they travel to Carrow Road to face Norwich City in the EFL Championship.
The Baggies have played just once on their travels this month - losing on January 1 to Swansea City, and since then they have recorded two 4-1 home wins over Aldershot Town and Blackburn Rovers. It's confirmed their place in the fourth round of the FA Cup where a home tie against Wolves will be played, whilst they strengthened their hold on one of the four play-off spots on offer.
Andi Weimann became West Brom's first signing of the transfer window this month, joining on a six-month loan from Bristol City. The 32-year-old is out of contract at the end of the season with the Robins and is now hoping to do enough at The Hawthorn's to persuade them in signing him. Weimann joins having already played for Aston Villa and Wolves in the Midlands, and Carlos Corberan believes he is ready to be thrown in to the mix.
In recent weeks, both Jed Wallace and John Swift had been nursing slight knocks and the arrival of Weimann could relieve the pressure. Grady Diangana is currently away at the Africa Cup of Nations, and was an unused substitute in DR Congo's 1-1 draw with Zambia, and he would play on various flanks, and so Weimann provides another option in attack.
Saturday's opponents Norwich City were in FA Cup action on Wednesday night, and came from behind to defeat Bristol Rovers and book their place into the next round where they will play Liverpool at Anfield. David Wagner made several changes but is likely to make a similar amount when they are restored to the starting XI for league duty. Here is the latest injury and team news ahead of Norwich City versus West Brom.
