One of Birmingham City and West Brom's rivals to part ways with their manager today, according to a report.

John Percy from the Telegraph reports that Millwall are to 'sack' head coach Joe Edwards on Wednesday. Edwards has only been at the club since his appointment in November, having succeeded Gary Rowett who left The Den due through mutual consent. It is the second managerial change of the week after Michael Beale was relieved of his duties as Sunderland boss. Beale had only been in charge from December after Tony Mowbray's departure from the Stadium of Light.

Edwards was appointed on November 6 and has overseen 19 games with four wins, four draws and 11 defeats giving him a win percentage of 21.05%. He has suffered six defeats in his last seven Championship matches. At the time of Edwards' expected sacking, Millwall are just a point above the relegation zone and suffered a 2-0 defeat to ten-man Sheffield Wednesday last weekend.

Millwall are expected to make a move for former player turned manager Neil Harris who is currently in charge of Cambridge United in League One. The 46-year-old was manager of League Two outfit Gillingham at the start of the season and has only been at Cambridge since December 6.

Harris has 10-years of nine years of managerial experience having taken the reins of Millwall in 2015. He won the League One play-offs with them in 2017 and was in charge for four years. Harris became manager of Cardiff City in November 2019 and spent just under two-years there, leading them to the play-offs. The 46-year-old is expected to complete an 'emotional' return which will be confirmed in the next 24 hours.

Both Birmingham City and West Brom travel to The Den next month to play Millwall. Blues play on Saturday, March 9 whilst West Brom travel on Friday, March 29.
