Carlos Corberan and Aston Villa flop now ‘leading the way’ as Leeds United manager list shortens - gallery

The list of favourites for the Leeds United manager job has shortened, with West Brom boss Carlos Corberan and an Aston Villa flop leading the way.

Leeds United parted ways with manager Sam Allardyce shortly after it was confirmed the Lilywhites would be relegated from the Premier League and down to the Sky Bet Championship.

The former England head coach was unable to keep Leeds in the top flight as their fate was sealed by a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on the final day.

As soon as it was announced ‘Big Sam’ was leaving, a huge list of potential candidates was drafted up across the media but no concrete links surfaced.

Now, a few days on, there’s still plenty of uncertainty about the future of the Leeds helm but it’s become more apparent as to which names could well be leading the way.

From West Bromwich Albion boss Carlos Corberan to an Aston Villa flop and a host of European talents, here are the top 10 current favourites according to Sky Bet odds.
