The winter transfer window is still 12 weeks away, but already there's talk about who is going where, and both Aston Villa and Wolves are involved.

Before signing his new four-year deal last week, Ollie Watkins was linked with both Arsenal and Chelsea, but now the £28m forward has committed his future to the Villains. Could he be joined however by one of his new England international teammates?

The 27-year-old was recalled up to the Three Lions squad by Gareth Southgate for the first time since March 2022, and now he'll come across someone who has been tipped to make the move to Villa Park.

According to The I, Kalvin Phillips is set to leave Manchester City in January, and two cubs are 'circling' for him. He could be available for loan in January and both Everton and Newcastle United are said to be making enquiries towards him.

Interestingly though, Everton is not one of the favourite places for Phillips’ next destination. Sky are offering a transfer special for Phillips’ next club, and Aston Villa are valued at 9/1 along with West Ham United.

Newcastle are the favourites to and Phillips, and then you've got outsiders Liverpool, Arsenal, Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur.

  • Aston Villa - 9/1

Across the Midlands, there is also an increased amount of speculation as to where Pedro Neto will end up. He's been one of the best-performing players of the season so far under Gary O'Neil, and his performances haven't gone amiss with other teams.

The 23-year-old has got five assists and a goal this season, and played a huge role in helping his team beat Manchester City at Molineux at the end of last month.

It's been reported by Fabrizio Romano that Wolves are in a 'strong position' when it comes to potentially selling Neto. Things are 'likely to happen' according to the Italian transfer guru, and Arsenal are said to have held an interest, but now other clubs are keeping tabs on the situation.

It comes as no surprise that the Emirates Stadium is Neto’s favoured destination right now, but there’s a few clubs said to be in the mix.

  • Arsenal - 6/1
  • Liverpool - 8/1
  • Tottenham Hotspur - 12/1
  • Manchester United - 16/1
