Jude Bellingham has appointed the England FA’s Player Relations Lead to work with him in Spain following the former Birmingham City midfielder’s move to Real Madrid.

The 19-year-old, who left Blues in 2020 for a fee of £25 million, has put pen to paper on a six-year contract at The Bernabeu.

Bellingham becomes the most expensive British player of all time as he has cost Madrid an initial £88 million and that could soon rise to around £113 million after add-ons. The move follows three very successful campaigns with Dortmund, as Bellingham scored 24 goals and assisted 25 in 132 appearances.

Bellingham is one of, if not the highest rated young player in world football, and following his mega-money move to Madrid, Bellingham will also be getting some assistance on his profile on and off the field in Spain.

According to The Sun, The FA’s Player Relations Lead Lewis Maddison is set to leave the organisation to start a new role working with Bellingham in Spain.

He has reportedly been hired by the family to help Brand Bellingham. The role will see him work on Bellingham’s social channels ad well as marketing opportunities in the Spanish capital.

Maddison started his career at Nike in 2011 and he joined the FA as senior commercial manager in 2018, going on to work at the European Championships and World Cup. He was then promoted to Player Relations Lead within the organisation, and worked with the England players during the winter World Cup in Qatar.
